The Winzer family’s wellness hotel is located close to the Attersee in Upper Austrian Salzkammergut on a slight hill. There is a wide view across the softly rolling meadows from both the rooms and the two-storey panorama sauna. The wellness and spa activities offered are wide in range, just like the various possibilities of accommodation and restaurants in the Winzer Hotel. Numerous suites and “wellness rooms” are arranged explicitly for the wellness guest and include whirlpools or water beds.

The hotel is also ideal for a holiday as a couple. Under the title “romantic holiday”, the Winzer Hotel offers include mutual massages, an overnight stay in the “snuggle room” or festive evening meals.


Environment

about a kilometre from St. Georgen in Attergau in Upper Austrian Salzkammergut. It is situated on the edge of a forest and is connected to the western motorway A1 via a well developed A-road. It takes about half an hour to get there from Salzburg. The Attersee close by is the largest lake in Austria and a favoured place to sail and dive. The Salzkammergut comprises a large lake district whose waters are located at an altitude of 500 (Attersee) to 1700 (Traunsee) metres above sea level. They are relicts of the Ice Age, in which huge glaciers covered the foothills of the Alps, and filled dells and valleys with their snow melt after disappearing.


Incentives

You can cross the Attersee with the local excursion boat as well as by means of a sailing, paddle or rowing boat. The clear, deep water is of drinking quality and is a Mecca for divers. Hikers can aim for one of the many Alpine cabins where regional products are served. Or they can walk along the Gustav Klimt learning path – the painter spent many a summer at the Attersee. In Salzburg, you can retrace the steps of Mozart - very informative. In the summer, the Salzburg Festspiele turn the city into a Mecca for those interested in culture and music from all over the world. It takes about an hour by car to get to Linz, the regional capital of Upper Austria. The culture capital of 2009 is still worth a visit today.
