Anybody who has always wanted to spend a wellness holiday in a castle is spot on at the Schloss Teschow Wellness Hotel. The listed, ageless mansion with its modern wing that matches the architecture presides over the hills of Mecklenburgische Schweiz befitting its status. The estate is run by Ralf Fränkel. On more than 120 hectares of grounds with old trees, there is a large golf green with a golfing school and an 18-hole course. It is embedded in the bird and landscape conservation area around Lake Teltow and voluntarily complies with strict environmental requirements. Apart from the protection of animals and plants, this also benefits a near to nature golf experience for the guests.

Just in 2009, the wellness and spa area was expanded extensively. Besides a doctor’s surgery and a hairdresser’s, it offers various rooms for beauty, fitness, health and relaxation. The hotel is also equipped for families with children, with its own kids’ club for instance. And if you would like to travel with your own horse, there are stalls in the neighbouring horse stables.


Environment

in Teschow in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, convenient for traffic, about 1.5 to 2 hours‘ car drive from Berlin and Hamburg. The estate is surrounded by a 120 hectare park with old trees and directly borders Lake Teltow. To the south, Mecklenburgische Schweiz borders the Mecklenburgische Lake District and like it, it is characterized by a particularly intact landscape. In addition, the landscape is rich in well-maintained, old villages and castles as well being a holiday paradise for nature lovers due to its large amount of forest and water areas.


Incentives

The Mecklenburgische Schweiz natural park can be explored on a large castle tour (60 km) by bike. Alternatively, there is a small round trip (20 km) that can also be walked. The large cities of Hamburg and Berlin are well-suited for a day trip. If you want to stay close by, then you’re best off boating across Lake Teltow or exploring the Müritz on an excursion boat. And those who want to stay even closer to the hotel can get hold of a map of the surrounding pathways and hike, jog or walk right from the hotel.
