Wellness for all the family…
"Not a single minute of boredom" promises the Wagnermayr family, owners of the award winning sports and wellness hotel Angerhof. This personally managed hotel lies at an altitude of 900 metres in Bavaria – on the southern slopes above the spa of St. Englmar – and is in high demand for short wellness trips both during summer and winter. While their children enjoy archery, basket ball or climbing on the hotel's spacious grounds, parents can relax in the hotel spa. The most remarkable feature is a salt cave. A truck load of the finest salt from Bad Reichenhall was transported to the holiday hotel, where visitors can now boost their immune systems by breathing in the salt saturated air. As an alternative, the three Angerhof worlds of sound offer relaxing virtual journeys: Inside the fantasy oasis – awarded the Bavarian Award for Innovation – guests float on warm water beds immersing themselves in fascinating nature documentaries shown on a large screen.
The hotel Angerhof is located at 900 metres above sea level, facing the centre of Saint Englmar. The village is a famous climatic spa and winter sports resort, offering a wide view on the Danube valley up to the Alpine chain. Visitors enjoy more than 300 km of hiking trails and mountain biking routes. Dry tobogganing, children's playgrounds, 55 km of cross-country skiing trails, 10 ski lifts including snowboard half pipe, toboggan slopes, riding choral, tennis courts.
Bavarian Forest national park, open air museum of historic houses in Tittling, historical "Glasstrasse"(Street of Glass), Straubing, Regensburg, Passau and its world-biggest cathedral organ, Pilsen and Prague in neighbouring Czech Republic.
The “Angerhof is” the "highest SPA resort in the area" and offers a full range of spa facilities: Salt and brine, massages, spa sound worlds provide hours of relaxation for all senses. There is a lot to discover for children, too: wall bars, riding halls and football pitches. Nearby, the so-called "Forest treetop way" offers astonishing views: For about 400 metres, visitors walk on wooden planks in the height of the surrounding tree points.
