African Lounge
A small but highly recommended lounge in elegant colonial style with choice objects of African art. Boorish culture features heavily with dishes from the Cape of Good Hope, like the "Smoorvis", fried fish and rice with coconut and smoked trout. "Prun Potje" is a prune stew and "Raghan Josh" is lamb with vegetables, chilli peppers and flat wheat cakes. A selection of original Cape wines compliments the food. The wine is imported directly by the family of hotel owners, who feel a very close connection to the Cape of Good Hope, having spent so much time in the surrounding country.
Wine cellar
Known far beyond the borders of the region, the well cared for wine cellar harbours mature wines from all over the world. Renowned vintages from world famous areas of cultivation share the constant temperature and humidity with prized châteaus and select wines from the New World.
