"The wood at your head, the lake at your feet, thus here you dream..."
The area around Ruppin, the Ruppiner Land, which Theodor Fontane so fondly described 150 years ago, has a special charm. Pine forests and their perfume, roe deer, bird song – all these are part of the natural landscape surrounding the Hotel & SPA Sommerfeld. The house, run by the Schröter family, is situated at the idyllic lake Beetzer See, not far from Berlin. Green meadows, woodlands and lakes make the surrounding countryside a nature lover's dream, and a paradise for bird enthusiasts. And while following in the footsteps of Fontane, you can learn a lot about local history and culture. Hiking, cycling or on horseback, while engaging in Nordic Walking or during a stint on the 18-hole golf course. ?Aside from the fascinating countryside, the house places equal emphasis on medical wellness. It features its own integrated health centre specialising in innovative, holistic medicine.
The Hotel & SPA Sommerfeld is situated in the Brandenburg region, 35 kilometres in the north of Berlin.
Neuruppin, hometown of the renowned poet Theodor Fontane; Rheinsberg Castle; Historic Barn Area in Kremmen; Brandenburg-Prussia Museum in Wustrau; „Stork Village“ Linum; Nature Park „Stechlin-Ruppiner Land“ and neighbouring parks; Biosphere Reserve „Schorfheide Chorin“ and Müritz National Park.
The idea of the house’s „ANIMA SPA“ concept is to combine stylish surroundings and a great variety of facilities. It includes an elegant indoor pool featuring impressive pillars and an outdoor pool, with a view of the surrounding nature, heated all year.
The house offers 85 rooms, of which 18 are so-called „Relexation-Rooms“ situated right next to the new “Wellness Floor” – all providing decent comfort and natural material.
And when guests may already have their breakfast in their bathrobes in the Spa Bistro, or swim next to the cosy fireplace – they’ll enjoy pure relaxation in the Hotel & SPA Sommerfeld.
